Getting Your Ticket
SKIPPERS TICKET ASSESSMENT & TRAINING
We will provide a range of options for you to obtain your boat driving licence, including personalised, group, family and professional packages.
There are two steps to pass your Skippers Ticket assessment and training:
- Theory Test
- Practical Test
Prior to the day, you will need to read and study the RST Manual, which we can provide for you, or can be obtained free from the Department of Transport. Or you can download it from the link below. Please complete the self-test questions at the end of each section.
After some revisions on the day, you will be ready to sit your theory test which will take approximately one hour.
Applicants are required to correctly answer 34 multiple choice questions out of 40 by ticking the box on one of four alternative answers.
Upon successful completion of the theory component, we’ll conduct the practical training and assessment of 11 tasks as described in the RST workbook.
Total training and assessment time will be about four hours.
The practical part can be conducted on our boat or on yours. An interim Skippers Ticket will be issued upon successful completion of both parts
